Lemon

Lemon is a medium evergreen of the citrus family. It likes warmth and sun, carries light thorns, and spreads as it grows—often to about 20 ft tall and up to 6 m wide—with a heavy crop of bright fruit. The essential oil is cold-pressed from the peel.
Lemon has a long reputation as a cleanser. British naval rations of lemon (and other citrus) were used against scurvy; that history belongs to the fruit, not the distilled aroma. The oil itself is bright, cooling, and often used when a clear, energetic scent is wanted.
